1. We have no financial stake in what your project costs
This is the foundation, and it is worth understanding properly.
A contractor’s estimate is also a bid. They have an interest in the number, and that interest
does not always align with yours. A supplier’s number reflects what they sell. Even a wellmeaning builder is estimating their own work, with their own assumptions about how they
would do it.
We are not bidding. We do not build, we do not subcontract, we do not supply materials,
and we receive nothing from anyone who does. Our fee is agreed in advance and does not
change based on your project’s cost, your financing outcome, or who you hire.
That independence is not a marketing point. It is the entire mechanism that makes an
independent estimate worth having.
