Trade-Specific Takeoffs

Your trade. Measured properly.

Accurate, trade-specific quantities extracted from your drawings, organised around the way your business actually prices work — so you can spend less time measuring and more time winning bids.

01 / TAKEOFFS

Stop counting. Start pricing.

We handle the measurement so your team can focus on rates, bids, clients, and running the business.

The Problem

Drawings were not organised for you.

Drawings are almost never organised for the person doing the measuring. If you are a roofing contractor, the roof appears across four sheets and the detail that changes your quantity is buried in a note on a fifth.

If you are an electrician, the fixture schedule and the panel schedule may disagree with each other and nobody has noticed. If you are a concrete subcontractor, the structural and architectural drawings can show different slab thicknesses in the same area.

You end up spending evenings counting instead of running your business, and that counting is where a single missed item can become money out of your own pocket.

A trade-specific takeoff gives you exactly the measurement you need without paying for a full estimate you do not need.

What You Get

Quantities you can actually use.

Every takeoff is built around your scope, your trade, and the way you price work.

01

Measured Quantities

Areas, lengths, counts, volumes, and weights for your division only, organised around the way your trade prices work.

02

Clear Scope Boundary

Where your work stops and someone else's begins, including every place where the drawings leave the boundary ambiguous.

03

Flagged Conflicts & Gaps

Drawing conflicts, missing details, specification contradictions, and other questions you should resolve before pricing.

04

Assumptions in Writing

Clear documentation of what we assumed whenever the drawings or specifications do not settle an issue.

05

Digital Measurement Backup

Marked-up drawings showing what was measured and where, so you can check the work rather than simply take the numbers on faith.

06

Priced or Unpriced

Receive quantities only and apply your own rates, or have us apply location-specific pricing when you want both.

Independently measure one expensive scope before approving a major project cost.

Estimating Departments

Absorb more bid volume without increasing internal estimating capacity.

Growing Trade Businesses

Add dependable measurement capacity without adding another full-time estimator.

How We Work

Measured digitally. Reviewed independently.

Your takeoff should be auditable, not a collection of numbers you simply have to trust.

01

Digital Measurement

Measurement is performed digitally from your drawings using professional takeoff software.

02

Source Tracking

Every measured item is recorded against the sheet and location it came from.

03

Second Review

Every takeoff is reviewed by a second estimator, with particular attention to your scope boundary.

04

Transparent Quantities

Waste factors are shown separately from measured quantities so you can always see the actual measurement.

We do not pad quantities and we do not trim them. If you want a waste factor applied, it is applied at the percentage you specify and shown separately.

What to Send Us

Give us the set. We'll handle the count.

The more complete the information, the more confidently we can measure your scope.

The drawing set, ideally complete, including sheets outside your trade that affect your scope.

Specifications relevant to your division.

Any addenda or revisions issued.

Your scope of work or the invitation you received.

Your preferred measurement units and any format you need the output in.

Your waste factor preferences, if any.

Your bid deadline.

Turnaround

Narrower scope. Faster turnaround.

Trade takeoffs are usually faster than full estimates because the scope is narrower. But complexity varies enormously between a straightforward residential roof and a mechanical package on a multi-storey building.

We quote turnaround in your proposal before you commit. If your deadline is tight, tell us at the enquiry stage.

Send us your division.

Tell us your trade, your project, and your deadline, and we will come back with a fee and a turnaround before you commit to anything.
