Digital Solutions USA LLC

Last Updated: 01-09-2026

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Digital Solutions USA LLC (“Digital Solutions USA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://digital-solutionllc.com (the “Site”), what those technologies do, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal information, and our Terms and Conditions.

Digital Solutions USA LLC is a construction cost estimating and pre-construction consulting firm registered in the State of Maryland, United States. Our principal place of business is 6805 Fallard Pl, Frederick, MD 21703, USA.

2. What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies let the site recognise your device on subsequent page loads or return visits, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

Cookies contain a name, a value, an expiry date, and the domain that set them. They cannot run programs, install software, read other files on your device, or carry viruses.

By origin:

  • First-party cookies are set by digital-solutionllc.com itself
  • Third-party cookies are set by another domain whose service is embedded in our pages, such as an analytics or advertising provider

By duration:

  • Session cookies are temporary and deleted when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies remain for a defined period, or until you delete them, and are read again on your next visit

3. Other Technologies Covered by This Policy

For simplicity, “cookies” here covers several related technologies:

Pixels and web beacons — tiny, usually invisible images embedded in a page or email that report the page or email was loaded and can pass information such as IP address and browser type. We use them for advertising conversion measurement.

Local storage and session storage — browser storage areas holding larger amounts of data than cookies. Our website platform and page builder use these for interface state.

Software development kits and tags — code snippets from third-party providers, delivered through a tag management layer, that enable analytics and advertising measurement.

Server logs — records our web server keeps of each request, including IP address, timestamp, requested page, and user agent. These are not cookies but are described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Why We Use Cookies

  1. To make the Site work — maintain security, protect forms against abuse, and keep pages functioning
  2. To remember your choices — including your cookie consent preferences, so we do not ask on every page
  3. To understand how the Site is used — which service pages are read, which generate enquiries, where visitors leave, and whether the Site works properly across devices and browsers
  4. To measure our advertising — we run paid search advertising and need to know which campaigns produce genuine enquiries
  5. To improve the Site — using aggregate data to make our service pages clearer and our quote process easier

We do not use cookies to build detailed profiles of individuals, to make automated decisions about you, or to sell your data.

5. Cookies Used on This Site

Cookie names, providers, and durations can change when third-party services update. We review this list periodically.

5.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cannot be switched off. They are essential for the Site to function and for security, and do not require consent because the Site cannot operate without them.

Note on reCAPTCHA: If spam protection is enabled on our contact forms, Google reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

5.2 Functional Cookies

These enable enhanced features. Disabling them may degrade parts of the Site.

5.3 Analytics and Performance Cookies

These help us understand aggregate usage. Set only with your consent where consent is required.

What we learn: which pages are viewed and for how long, which service pages lead to enquiries, traffic sources, device and browser mix, approximate city-level location, and where visitors drop off. We use this in aggregate. We are not trying to identify you personally.

IP anonymisation: Our analytics configuration anonymises IP addresses before storage where that feature is available.

Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

5.4 Advertising and Targeting Cookies

We advertise through paid search to reach people actively looking for construction estimating services. These cookies measure whether an advertisement led to a genuine enquiry, and may support remarketing. Set only with your consent where consent is required.

CookieProviderPurposeDurationType
_gcl_auGoogle AdsStores and tracks ad conversions, attributing an enquiry to the ad click that produced it90 daysPersistent

Why we use these: Advertising is how most of our clients find us. Conversion measurement tells us which search terms produce real estimating enquiries. Without it, we would be spending advertising budget with no way to know what works.

What we do not do: We do not upload client lists to advertising platforms for audience targeting, and we do not use advertising cookies to identify individuals or to link advertising data to project files or estimates.

5.5 Third-Party Embedded Content

Pages containing embedded content from other services, such as video or maps, may allow those services to set their own cookies, governed by their own policies rather than this one.

5.6 Payment Pages

Payments are processed by independent, PCI-DSS-compliant payment service providers on their own secure, hosted pages. Any cookies set during payment are set by that provider in that provider’s own environment and are governed by that provider’s cookie and privacy policies, which are made available to you at the point of payment.

No payment card data, bank credentials, or other financial account information passes through, or is stored on, this Site.

6. Consent — How We Ask, and How You Change Your Mind

6.1 Our Consent Model

On your first visit, a cookie banner appears. Through it you can:

  • Accept All — allow all cookie categories
  • Reject All — decline everything except strictly necessary cookies
  • Manage Preferences — accept or decline each category individually

Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are set. Analytics and advertising cookies are held back until you consent.

Your choice is recorded in a consent cookie so we can honour it on future visits and demonstrate compliance. We ask again periodically, normally every twelve months, and whenever we materially change the cookies we use.

6.2 Withdrawing or Changing Consent

You can change your preferences at any time:

  • Click the cookie settings link in the Site footer, or
  • Click the cookie icon usually shown in the corner of the page, or
  • Clear your browser cookies for this Site, which resets your choices and re-triggers the banner

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place while consent was in force. Cookies already set before withdrawal may remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. See Section 7.

7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can control cookies directly in your browser settings, independently of our banner. Every major browser lets you view existing cookies, delete them, block third-party cookies, block all cookies, and clear cookies when you close the browser.

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari (macOS): Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Safari (iOS/iPadOS): Settings app → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
  • Opera: Settings → Privacy & security → Cookies and other site data
  • Brave: Settings → Shields / Privacy and security
  • Android (Chrome): Chrome → ⋮ → Settings → Site settings → Cookies

Private browsing modes discard cookies at the end of the session but do not prevent them being set during it.

Important: Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may cause parts of this Site to malfunction. Contact forms may fail to submit, file uploads may fail, spam protection may block legitimate submissions, and your consent preferences will not be remembered, so the banner will reappear on every page.

8. Opting Out of Analytics and Advertising Specifically

Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which works across all sites you visit.

Google Ads personalisation — adjust your settings at Google Ads Settings.

Industry opt-out tools:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance: https://optout.aboutads.info
  • Network Advertising Initiative: https://optout.networkadvertising.org
  • European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
  • Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada: https://youradchoices.ca

Mobile devices:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID

Note: Opting out of personalised advertising does not stop you seeing advertisements. It means the ones you see will be less relevant. It also does not, by itself, remove analytics cookies.

9. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We recognise and honour GPC signals. Where your browser or an extension transmits GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, to the extent required by applicable state privacy law. You do not need to do anything further.

Do Not Track (DNT): There is no accepted industry standard for responding to DNT browser signals, and the Site does not currently respond to them. We honour GPC instead, and our cookie banner gives you direct control regardless.

10. Cookies and Your Privacy Rights

Some cookies, particularly advertising cookies, may involve personal information under privacy laws in Maryland, California, and other states, and under the GDPR where it applies. Your rights over that information, including access, correction, deletion, and opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising, are set out in full in Section 11 of our Privacy Policy, together with how to submit a request and how to appeal a refusal.

To exercise a cookie-related right, email info@digital-solutionllc.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request.”

11. Children

The Site is directed at businesses and adults and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly set cookies to collect information from anyone under eighteen (18) years of age.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy when we add or remove a service that sets cookies, when a provider changes its cookie names or durations, or when the law changes.

  • The revised Policy is posted here with a new “Last Updated” date
  • Where we introduce a new non-essential cookie category, we will re-request consent through the banner before setting it
  • Material changes will be flagged prominently on the Site
